Reputable cavapoo breeders in the UK

Cavapoo has been around and well established as one of the most popular “designer” dog breeds (actually a cross-breed of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Poodle) since 1990s. They have conquered the hearts of dog lovers all over the world now, and UK is no exception. If you are looking for cavapoo breeders in the UK, here is the list of breeders I was able to find online. I hope it will help you find the cavapoo puppy of your dreams. Please make sure to do your own research of any breeder you may be interested in before you make any decisions!

cavapoo breeders in the UK

Lotties Cavapoos Uk breeder

This is a UK cavapoo breeder located in Southampton. They have lots of information on their website: about them as a breeder and about their puppies. This breeder has a lot of advice as to how to pick a breeder who you want to buy a puppy from.

According to their website, they care a lot about their puppies’ health and make sure the prospective owners are the right people for their cavapoo. They have a helpful puppy guide on their site that talks a lot about their approach to placing puppies and the whole process of it all. Check their website out here.

What are the good sides of having a cavapoo?
Great companions, their personalities will make you laugh. Training is very simple and they pick up quickly. We worked on handshake and he was able to do the command in less than twenty minutes.

Katie, mom of Gus, the Cavapoo from Vienna.

Cavapoo Breeders in the UK: Chamuel Puppies

Lorton Cockapoos

Despite the name, this UK breeder also deals with cavapoo alongside with cockapoo. They have a good breed description page on their site, plenty of photos and some nice testimonials. They are located in the Tarleton, Lancashire area. Last time I checked they did not have any cavapoo puppies available, but please check again here.

UK cavapoo breeder located in Scotland

Is there a funny story you could tell us about your cavapoo?

Perri often gets confused by her own limbs…she thinks her back legs are someone else’s and often nibbles them and then gets sad that she’s bitten herself! She also chases her tail every morning and once its caught, she walks to her bed, tail in mouth so settle down and have a good chew!

Lauren, mom of Perri, the cavapoo from England

Glendream Doodles UK Cavapoo and cockapoo breeder

Glendream Doodles is a UK cavapoo breeder located in Scotland. They have been breeding cavapoo (and cockapoo) for over 10 years and are one of Scotland’s best breeders. They are a small, in-home kennel located on a beautiful farm land. All of their dogs are KC registered and are in full health.

According to their website, Glendream Doodles pay special attention to socialising their puppies and also make sure all their cavapoo puppies are properly vaccinated and dewormed before they are sent to their loving forever homes. They have a great gallery of cavapoo puppy pictures, FAQs and instructions on how puppies are bred, how to choose a cavapoo puppy and how to care for them in their new home.

They also have a regularly updated blog and great testimonials. If you are over in Scotland and looking for a cavapoo puppy, this may just be your breeder.

Lewshelly Paws UK Cavapoo Breeders

Lewshelly Paws is another UK cavapoo breeder, although they also have other breeds. Their cavapoo puppies have soft loose curly coats which is good for people with mild dog allergies. They make sure their puppies are healthy and never let a puppy go to a new home without a proper vet check-up and health certificates. Lewshelly is a small breeder that takes pride in their puppy rearing processes. They have buyers looking for cavapoo puppies from all over the United Kingdom. Check out their website here.

Castellan House Kennels

Another UK cavapoo breeder with good feedback.

Cavapoo Breeders in the UK puppy

Best Breeds Dogs

This UK cavapoo breeder is located in Staffordshire. They specialize mainly in German Shepherds but have occasional litters of cavapoo as well. All their puppies get proper vet checks and vaccinations as well as de-worming and de-fleeing. All their cavapoo puppies come with a money-back guarantee in case of any health issues. If you are in Staffordshire, contact them here.

Cavapoo breeders in the UK: Poundlane

Poundlane is yet another UK cavapoo breeder located in the North Devon countryside, England. They raise their cavapoo pups with love and devotion and create well-socialized, loving animals for new forever homes. They provide some great info about buying a puppy and owning one on their website, as well as puppy pack info and lots of pictures. They take really good care of their puppies’ health and also do their best to find the absolute best homes for their puppies. Check them out on their website here.

We hope this little list of cavapoo breeders in the UK will help you find your new little friend. Cavapoo are fantastic but it is important to find a really good breeder you can trust. Look for a trustworthy breeder who cares about their cavapoo health and temperament, socialization and how well they will fit into your home. Never stop at just one breeder, contact a few to see which ones you have a better rapport.

yet another UK cavapoo breeder

If you have any bad feelings about a breeder at all, put your puppy buying process on pause and think of what might be the reason. Never allow any breeder to pressure you into the purchase – a good breeder will never do that as there are always enough people to buy a puppy from a reputable cavapoo breeder. Good luck with finding the cavapoo puppy of your dreams!

Is your pup destructive? Or maybe he/she is bored and sad when you are away? Wouldn’t it be nice to know exactly what your pup is doing at any moment, regardless of where you are? Well, you actually can. Honestly, my favorite invention of this century when it comes to pet care and well-being: the camera + treat dispenser + communication device from Petzi – check it out here. Talk to your dog when you are away (and see the happiness and excitement on their face), give them treats (even more happiness) and know exactly what they are up to 🙂

Before adopting a puppy from Cavapoo breeder in UK: Cavapoo owner reviews of the breed

Myra and her Cavapoo Ollie

“There is really so much I could say about Ollie, but I’ll try to keep it short. Ollie is now 3 years old and he is a delightful little dog. He is my and my husband’s “baby” and we love him dearly. He brings us so much fun and happiness on the daily basis. But of course, he is a dog and he is a lot of responsibility! So if you are considering adopting a cavapoo, you need to remember that it’s not all fun and games and that you will be required to spend time with the dog, and not everything will always be easy. Are they worth it? For us, the answer is definitely yes!

UK Cavapoo and cockapoo breeder

What do I love about our cavapoo? He doesn’t have a doggy smell. His hair is curly, like poodles, and very soft and nice to touch. He smells clean. We do bathe him from time to time and brush him often, but I think he just naturally smells nice. Bathing him is easy because we taught him to bathe from a very early age.

He gets cold in the winter and needs a sweater.

He is very affectionate, friendly, loving, and quite active! I would never call him hyperactive, but he definitely likes being on the move. We spend a good part of our weekends outside: hiking with Ollie, playing in the park, etc. I think it’s only fair when you decide to share your life with the dog. They have needs and you are responsible for them meeting those needs. Physical activity and exercise are extremely important for a dog – as they are for people, too. Ollie keeps us active and always on our toes!

Ollie can be very emotional. If my husband or I am away from the house for a long time, he will get sad and will sit at the door waiting. And he’ll be so happy when we return! It’s really nice to have someone that loves you that much! At the same time, he is not clingy and knows when to leave me alone and just sit quietly in his favorite spot and play with his toys.

I would say he is pretty much a perfect dog for us. I hope your dream cavapoo will be a perfect dog for you too!”

Can cavapoo swim?

Do cavapoo dogs swim?

Do you love spending time on the water and would like your cavapoo to share the fun with you? If so, the question you might ask is: can cavapoo actually swim?

Can cavapoo swim?

Well, the answer is: almost all dogs can swim. And your cavapoo is likely a capable swimmer as well. Whether they like swimming or not is another matter. Most dogs I have ever met, including cavapoo, adore water. Splashing in the water park or swimming with you in the lake or ocean can become one of your cavapoo’s favourite things to do.

If you want your cavapoo to share the fun of spending time on the water with you – start them young. If your cavapoo is still a puppy, this is the best time to get them acquainted with water.

Take them to your favourite beach and let them explore the shoreline for a while, while still holding them on the leash of course. You may notice that they will express interest towards water right away. They may try to sniff it, lick it or play with it. Particularly brave little cavapoo may even try to jump in it. If that happens – let them do it.

Psst, while you are reading this post, I just wanted to say you might also like these other articles:

They will likely swim right away as swimming is instinctive in dogs. Make sure that doesn’t happen in winter, of course, as the water could be too cold for your cavapoo, even if they are enthusiastic about swimming. You should also make sure the current isn’t too strong: you don’t want to put your cavapoo in danger if being swept away. Even though your cavapoo can swim, they could still have an accident on the water, so keep an eye on them.

Teaching a timid cavapoo to swim

If your cavapoo is intimidated by water, you might need to help them get acquainted with it. Get in the water with them! You can take them in your arms or lead them behind you on the leash, whichever works for your puppy. If they seem frightened, encourage them with your voice, by petting them or by offering them treats. Eventually they will start associating water with good things and will grow to like it. They may actually like it so much you’ll have a hard time pulling them out of the water!

Don’t forget to take care of your cavapoo after every swimming session. If the weather is cold, you may need to help your cavapoo to get dry again so they don’t get sick. If you and your cavapoo like swimming in the ocean or any other body of salt water, make sure you give your puppy a good shower afterwards, especially if your cavapoo hair tends to get tangled. Salt can definitely make it worse. You can use special dog shampoo to make the process easier on you and your puppy.

Summary

Can cavapoo swim? Yes, and usually they love it. Don’t leave your cavapoo home on a sunny day – take them to the beach so you can have fun in the water together!

Cavapoo breeders in California

Cavapoo breeders in California

If you are interested in finding a cavapoo breeder in California, this post is for you. I tried to come up with a list of cavapoo breeders in or near California, US, taking into account the information they provide on their website and a few criteria which could help me decide whether I could recommend these breeders as someone you can trust.

I looked at such things as: what does the breeder do ensure they only breed healthy cavapoo without genetic issues, how many litters per year they have, how they treat their customers and their dogs. I hope this list will be helpful for you in your search for a cavapoo puppy in California.

Cavapoo breeders in California: Golden Heart Doodles

Cavapoo breeders in California puppy

Golden Heart Doodles is a family-run, home-based cavapoo breeder in California located in Central Valley. They have been breeding several breeds of dogs, such as Yorkshire Terriers and Shetland Sheepdogs for over thirty years. Eventually, they wanted to breed a dog that would shed less, and also have minimum potential health issues. Currently, they mostly concentrate on cavapoo.

Golden Heart Doodles are not a very large breeder: they breed on a small scale and raise all their puppies within their family, as their family members. They start training their puppies to have good behavior and also start house training them before they even go to the new homes. That doesn’t mean their puppies come fully house-broken and trained, but do have a nice headstart.

The prices for their puppies vary in the range of $2,000-$2,500 depending on the color of the puppy. The good thing about this breeder is that they provide the potential owners the pedigree of both parents of their puppies and also thoroughly test their dogs to exclude the possibility of any of the main genetic issues that cavapoo can have. Contact Golden Heart Doodles if you are in California. If you are interested in this website, please visit their website.

Cavapoo breeders in California: Cee Cee’s Puppy Palace

Cavapoo breeders in California: Cee Cee's Puppy

Cee Cee’s Puppy Palace is another small cavapoo breeder in California, located in the Central San Joaquin Valley. This kennel is run by a retired couple who have been breeding for quite a while, since 2006. They currently have about a dozen breeding dogs living with them (cavaliers and poodles) and a few litters of puppies per year. These breeders do not ship their puppies.

They have lots of testimonials on their website, as well as images of their puppies. They have a lot of information about their puppies and the process of purchasing one on their website, including a purchase contract. I haven’t been able to find information on what health testing they do on their dogs, but you might be able to find out if you contact them directly.

If you are interested in this website, please visit their website.

Cavapoo breeders in California: Calla Lily Cavapoo

Cavapoo breeders in California: Calla Lily

This Cavapoo breeder in California, Calla Lilly Cavapoo, is a small doggie home, which they like to call themselves as they don’t like to be called a kennel. They state that they normally have many puppies available as they private place them and all puppies are normally spoken for. But who knows, maybe you could become one of their private clients. They provide a health guarantee for their puppies and do several vet checkups before the puppies go into their homes. I was not able to find where exactly this breeder is located. Visit their website to ask about puppy availability.

Before adopting a puppy from a California Cavapoo breeder

Tony and his Cavapoo Lola

My Cavapoo Lola is almost six years old (but you would never tell because she is as goofy and crazy as always!). She is still very active and loves to play. I think, as a breed, Cavapoo is just very energetic, full of enthusiasm and is just the best if you need someone to lift up your mood and make your day. She is like a ray of sunshine in our life.

She is very intuitive and can read the situation very well. She always knows when I am about to leave, or when I am thinking of taking her out for a walk. It’s like she can read my body language. She will get worried and hide when she sees I am starting to prepare for bathing her, for example (She hates bathing).

Psst, while you are reading this post, I just wanted to say you might also like these other articles:

Lola is great with children and older people. She loves everyone, really, but it seems that she understands when a person is more fragile or vulnerable than others, and she will act accordingly.

Lola isn’t very easy to please when it comes to food. It took time to find food that she likes and sometimes she won’t even eat that so I have to make something for her. Usually beef goes really well or some other type of meat. I am planning to take her to the vet to see if she may lack some nutrients in her regular diet.

Lola is very friendly with everyone outside. She isn’t afraid of other dogs even when they are bigger than her., But she also never starts a fight. If someone is aggressive towards her, she will most likely hide behind me rather than get into an argument. Which I like about her because I don’t want to get into any sort of confrontation. She is also friendly with cats and would never try to attack them or chase them. Sometimes she doesn’t even notice them.

One great thing about Lola and her coat is that she doesn’t smell much at all – I think that’s due to the poodle in her genetics. She doesn’t shed too much so there isn’t much grooming and cleaning to do which is also a bonus.

She is a little sensitive to cold weather and I have to be careful and keep her warm and dry, otherwise, she may get sick.

Her teeth have to be cleaned regularly to avoid teeth decay as well as a bad smell from her mouth (although minimal, it’s still there if we don’t brush).

It’s very important to have a good vet. You never know what can happen to your dog and you need to have someone knowledgeable and that you can trust, who can help your dog even if it’s Friday night. We had a few close calls when she got sick from something she picked up on the street (my fault!) and I can’t imagine not having help and losing her. I don’t know how we would live without her. Take care of your puppies!

All in all, Cavapoo seems to be a wonderful breed, at least our cavapoo is certainly an extraordinary dog. She is smart, lovely, affectionate, loyal, always at my side, playful and fun to be around. I doubt I would like to own any other breed after my Cavapoo. You need to find a good breeder so you can get a healthier dog but once you do find a good one, it’s a friend for life!

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH ANYONE OFFERING PUPPIES AND ESPECIALLY ASKING YOU FOR MONEY. DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY FOR ANYTHING UNTIL YOU SEE THE BREEDER PERSONALLY!

If you are trying to find cavapoo breeders in New York, this post is for you. In it, I provided a list of breeders that I could find in google. Cavapoo breeders in New York - breeder

Cavapoo breeders in New York – Mulberry Farm

This NY cavapoo breeder is located in Pleasant Valley, NY. They also breed cockapoo and schnoodles. This breeder strives to produce the finest cavapoo puppies, as they say on their website. They do have a breeding license and some good testimonials on their website.

The price of their puppies depends on the breed but generally is 1850$ and higher. One thing that’s different about this breeder is that they never ship their puppies, under any circumstances, so you will have to take a trip if you live far away from Pleasant Valley. If you’d like to visit the kennel, the visits are available by appointment. All their puppies are dewormed several times before going to their new homes.

Check their website here.

Cavapoo Breeders NY: Luvly Acres Cavaliers

Cavapoo Breeders NY: Luvly Acres Cavaliers

Luvly Acres Cavaliers is another Cavapoo breeder in NY and are located in Stanfordville in Dutchess County NY.  They have been around for fifteen years breeding mostly Cavaliers but they also have cavapoo puppies from time to time. All of their cavapoo pups come with a one-year health warranty, vaccination and deworming schedule and a certificate from a vet.

They have a very nice photo gallery with their puppies which I know you will enjoy looking at. All in all, they seem like a breeder worth contacting, especially if you are also located in Stanfordville NY. Have a look at their website here.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to locate any more cavapoo breeders in the NY area. I hope my little list will help you narrow down one breeder that has puppies and that you completely feel comfortable with. Cavapoo puppies – Texas. List of cavapoo breeders in Texas

Cavapoo breeders in Texas:

Looking for cavapoo breeders in Texas? I hope this little list will help you find the good breeder that has cavapoo puppies in Texas and bring you and your dream puppy together!

Unfortunately, after extensive research, I found that there aren’t really that many cavapoo breeders in Texas, so I supplemented this list with a few breeders out of state and in the neighboring states.

Cavapoo breeders in Texas

A lot of breeders these days can safely ship puppies via airmail or with puppy nannies (people that will fly with your puppy to deliver it to you), so even if a breeder seems somewhat far from your hometown, don’t lose hope. You can still get that puppy. Don’t go for the closest breeder to you just because they are close.

I would recommend to instead choose the breeder that seems most reputable and provides the most guarantees related to their puppies health and temperament, and let them ship the puppy to you.

Vicky’s Toy Puppies cavapoo breeders in Texas

Vicky's Toy Puppies cavapoo breeders in Texas

Vicky’s Toy Puppies is another Cavapoo breeder in Texas and is located in Childress, Texas. They breed several smaller cross-breeds and, from what it looks like, they sometimes have an occasional cavapoo litter. They have lots of pictures on their site and look like a small breeder that cares about their puppies. (And also are conveniently located in Texas!)

Psst, while you are reading this post, I just wanted to say you might also like these other articles:

This breeder pays a lot of attention to puppy health care and disease prevention and is ready to be of assistance if anything goes wrong with your puppy health-wise. They also give a limited health guarantee to the new owners. Apart from that, you can find some good advice on their website about puppy nutrition, adaptation to the new home, training, socializing, health care and life with a puppy in general.

Check out their website here.

another Cavapoo breeder in Texas

Petit Jean Puppies

Although this cavapoo breeder is not in Texas but in Arkansas, I think it can be close enough for some of you.

This breeder offers high quality healthy cavapoo puppies, although they also breed cavachons and some golden doodles. They are a USDA Class A Breeder with a License and look very legitimate. They treat their dogs as family and provide them with proper care that you would provide for your family.

Petit Jean Puppies perform multiple health tests and screenings and DNA genetic tests on every one of their dogs. They also make sure they give their dogs best food and medication available to keep them in top health. Improving the breed is their passion and motto, and it seems like they really stand behind their words.

This breeder has lots of information on their site about purchasing a cavapoo with them, puppy delivery (if you live far), all the necessary documentation, puppy health care, training and socialization.

Cavapoo breeders in Texas: Calla Lily Cavapoo

I highly recommend this breeder if you are looking for a cavapoo breeder in Texas and don’t mind going a little out of state to Arkansas. Check out Petit Jean Puppies’s website.

Cavapoo breeders in Texas: Calla Lily Cavapoo

Calla Lily Cavapoo are an exclusive cavapoo puppies breeder in Oklahoma. Apart from being a cavapoo puppies breeder, they are also a large and loving family of 6! They do not breed any other breeds but cavapoo.

Within the cavapoo, they only breed F1 cavapoo (a first-generation cross of cavalier and poodle). These breeders really care about where they place their puppies, trying to only find the best loving families for their cavapoo.

They also pay a lot of attention to raising their puppies healthy and happy by providing thorough care, excellent nutrition and medical care, and also socialising their puppies to become happy and easy-going adult cavapoo. Calla Lily Cavapoo keep their puppies till around 9 weeks of age before they let them go, and start potty training of the puppies right at their kennel.

Calla Lily Cavapoo really care about your experience as a new cavapoo owner too, and try to prepare the puppies to be the well-behaved dogs that know how to behave in their new homes.

Check out Calla Lily Cavapoo here.

breeder is in North Carolina and not Texas

Recherche Cavs

This breeder is in North Carolina and not Texas, but if you can afford a trip, do take a look at this breeder.

Recherche Cavs offers well-trained cavapoo, as opposed to other breeders out there. So, if you don’t want to put too much time in training your puppy or don’t have the time needed, check them out 🙂

There are a few other things that make this breeder stand out. They explain that their dogs are the best pedigreed dogs out there. They only choose the best lines of dogs for breeding, and most of their lines are imported from Europe, since Europe has had higher breeding standards than the US and has a better genetic diversity when it comes to cavapoo.

All cavapoo parents are thoroughly tested – both their genetics and their health – to ensure that the resulting puppies are of best health possible.

As I already mentioned, this breeder offers already trained puppies. I do like this approach – after all, training puppies is a job and who can be better at a job than a professional? Recherche Cav have an extensive puppy training program at their premises and that every puppy starts going through starting with 5-6 weeks of age.

Their team of professional trainers trains each puppy until the puppy is about 10 weeks old and ready to go to their new home.

Of course, the fees for their puppies are higher than at any other breeder, but Recherche Cav is not worried about finding clients. Moreover, they are happy to place their puppies for higher prices as it ensures the seriousness of the client’s intent to have a cavapoo and invest into it as much as needed.

This cavapoo breeder also makes sure your process of getting a cavapoo puppy is smooth and painless for both you and the puppy. They are organised and professional in everything from their website to how they handle their communication with you and organise all aspects of puppy purchase.

Definitely check out this breeder if you are interested in high -quality, well-bred and well-trained cavapoo puppies.

Cavapoo breeders in Texas: Teeny Tiny Teacups

Teeny Tiny Teacups are a cavapoo breeder in Louisiana. Their approach to raising puppies is family-based: their little cavapoo grow up in their home and get lots of attention from all family members including children. They are well-socialised from the earliest age and are used to being surrounded by a large family including small kids.

This breeder emphasises thorough puppy health care and put a lot of effort into preventative care such as vaccinations and vet check-ups. Teeny Tiny Teacups have a waiting list that you will need to join while waiting for your puppy, which is based on first come first serve principle.

They have a nice gallery where you can have a look at their puppies and some information on choosing the puppy, puppy care and some general info on cavapoo breed. They also have a pretty sweet Instagram account. Check out Teeny Tiny Teacups’s new website here.

I hope this list of Texas cavapoo breeders will be helpful in your search for a cavapoo. If you know of another Cavapoo breeder in Texas or perhaps you are a cavapoo breeder in Texas – drop me a line and I will add you to this list 😉

Cavoodle puppies for sale NSW: breeders overview

This post is an overview of cavoodle breeders in New South Wales that are reputable and that you can trust. Because health screening is so extremely important with cavoodles, I wanted to do some research and come up with a list of breeders that do extensive health screening for their cavoodle puppies and their parents. I hope you can find the breeder you are looking for in this list.

Cavoodle puppies for sale NSW

Cavoodle puppies for sale NSW: Charlieoodles

We really like this NSW cavoodle breeder. They seem like a breeder that really, really cares about the health of their puppies and consequently about the happiness of the new puppy owners. They do EXTENSIVE screenings for health issues such as PRA, MVD (Mitral Valve Disease),  degenerative myelopathy, mucopolysaccharidosis and Von Willebrand’s disease.

They invest heavily in having their parent dogs genetically screened and health tested to ensure none of the puppies have any health issues. There are many other things that they do right. Their puppies are raised in warm, family environment which ensures their early socialisation and soft, stable temperaments.

Cavoodle puppies for sale NSW

Their puppies are used to kids from an early age, so they will be great for families with young kids.

Psst, while you are reading this post, I just wanted to say you might also like these other articles:

They only have a small number of dogs and treat them like family members. The very opposite of a puppy mill.

And of course, their puppies are gorgeous, which you can see on their website. All in all, don’t hesitate to reach out to these people if you are looking for a cavoodle puppy. Check out their site to see for yourself.

Oakies Puppies

Oakis Puppies is another breeder that breeds cavoodles from purebred poodles that were thoroughly DNA tested and health screened to rule out any potential genetic diseases in their cavoodle puppies. They breed mainly 2nd generation cavoodles using cavoodle ladies bred back to purebred miniature poodle. They sometimes also breed 1st generation cavoodles by mixing Cavalier ladies and miniature Poodle.

The kennel is located on 22 acres in rural lands of NSW.  Oakies Puppies are full members of Australian Association of Pet Dog Breeders and offer all certification papers as well as rehoming service for their puppies throughout their lifetime. They have a good number of testimonials and do look like a reputable breeder with all the extencive health screening that they do.

They have a good testimonials/references page on their website and a Facebook page with over 13 000 followers.

Cavoodle puppies for sale in NSW: Camden Cavoodles

Camden Cavoodles specialize strictly in cavoodles, as you can see from the name. This breeder can boast years of experience and a holiostic approach both to life and to breeding their puppies. They care a lot about the psychological aspects of puppies and puppyhood and make sure they raise socially-adjusted, outgoing and affectionate cavoodles.

According to their site, they have a large area outside where their puppies can run and play which is beneficial for their mental and physical health. All Camden cavoodles are DNA profiled, as well as microchipped, vet checked and dewormed. Looks to us like a very trusty breeder. Beautiful website, too.

Oakhurst Cottage

This is what looks like a family business that provides accommodations AND cavoodle puppies! So if you are ever in need of room and want to adopt a cavoodle puppy, this is it 🙂 But seriously, they do breed cavoodles – namely quality toy and mini cavoodles. It’s hard to say if they do extencive DNA testing but they do the PRA testing in their litters/parents (Progressive Retinal Atrophy). I would request whether they provide testing against other common cavoodle health issues.

Cavoodle puppies from Fluffy Puppies

This breeder is located in the O’Connell Valley near Bathurst, 2.5 hours drive west from Sydney. They breed various cross breeds such as cavoodles, moodles, shoodles and schnoodles. They provide RSPCA inspection certificate and vet audit certificate on their website. They look like a trustable breeder, but we would request whether they DNA -test their parent dogs for common cavoodle conditions before breeding, and whether puppies are health -screened.

Cavoodle puppies from Country puppies

Country puppies is a small breeding kennel in Central West N.S.W. They specialize in cavoodles, moodles and shoodles. They are also vet endorsed, audited and inspected by local authorities. They have lots of good testimonials as well. Again, it is somewhat unclear if they do thorough DNA screening and health-testing of their parents before breeding. If you go with this breeder, we would advise to ask them directly whether they do.

Cavoodle puppies for sale in NSW: Billabong Creek Farm

Billabong Creek Farm is another cavoodle breeder in New South Wales. They breed toy and miniature cavoodles of various colors. They breed F1 cavoodles from spaniel mothers and poodle fathers, all PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) tested. They pride themselves in the high quality parents they use for breeding, and great temperament in their cavoodle puppies.

They have been breeding for over 22 years. They provide a 10 point health check sheet with their puppies and a written mandatory government health guarantee for three years. They look like a very respectable breeder indeed. But again it is unclear whether they health screen and test the parents and litters for a multitude of potential issues or not. We couldn’t find that info on their website. It’s up to you to ask.

Waratah Park Puppies

Waratah Puppies offer high quality cavoodles to families. Their puppies are thoroughly health checked by vets, vaccinated, dewormed and micro-chipped. According to their website, they pay a lot of attention to training and socialising their puppies prior to  sending them to their forever homes. Their puppies are able to sleep through the night (that’s pretty great for a new puppy!), know how to wear a collar and are ready for lead training.

They are also ready to be potty-trained (or rather house trained) right when they arrive to your home, and are supposed to do quite well with toilet training. Waratah Park Puppies has won awards as a business and are known for breeding and raising puppies for children with Autism or on the spectrum. All in all they look like a wonderful breeder although we didn’t find the information on whether they provide full DNA screening of their parents before screening. Ask them about this if you decide to go with this breeder.

CavoodleLove

CavoodleLove is another cavoodle breeder located in the beautiful Lower Hunter, NSW.  They are a mother-daughter team dedicated to breeding cavoodles raised in loving family environment. Their focus is to provide the new family with a high quality, affectionate companion cavoodle who will bring happiness to the new home.

They use best practices in breeding and monitor their puppies and moms’ health and well-being thoroughly. The cost of their cavoodles is $3500 for all colours. This breeder does provide full DNA testing and health screening of parents before breeding. They are definitely a reputable breeder that we can recommend. They also encourage prospective buyers to visit their kennels and meet their dogs and puppies. Overall, I recommend contacting this breeder.

Note: I obviously cannot guarantee the 100% truthfulness of information provided above simply because I can’t visit each of these breeders and make sure everything they said on their sites is true. We simply provide an overview of information already given by these breeders on their website to help you narrow down the cavoodle breeders you might want to contact.

I hope this little list has been helpful and that you can find a breeder that will give you the puppy of your dreams. As always, we recommend only to work with breeders that provide full DNA testing and screening to ensure that the puppies are free of the common health issues that can be passed down from Cavalier King Charles spaniel.

Good luck in finding your cavoodle puppy!

Before you contact your Cavapoo breeder in Illinois: read a Cavapoo owner review!

Jenny and her Cavapoo Bonnie

What can I say about Bonnie? If you are reading this review, you are probably a cavapoo owner or are planning to adopt one. If you have any doubts about the breed, maybe this will be a useful review for you. I

I have been thinking of what breed to adopt for a long time. Both my husband and I agreed that we needed a small dog. Our house is not too spacious and we both like smaller dogs better: they are easier to travel with, easier to groom, everything is just easier with a smaller dog. But I wanted an active dog too – a breed that I could take hiking and that I wouldn’t need to carry because they’d be too weak and frail to cover the distance on their own.

After a lot of thought, we decided we wanted to adopt a cavapoo as it has some traits from a poodle — one of the smartest breeds out there, and some traits from a Cavalier King Charles spaniel, who we also like a lot. When we saw the puppies for the first time, we knew we made the right choice. We just couldn’t help falling in love with these little munchkins.

It was hard to wait several weeks until we could finally bring our pumpkin home. We named her Bonnie, which means “pretty” in Scottish (my husband has Scottish roots).

We housebroke Bonnie quite quickly and easily, it’s as if she knew what we wanted from her even though she was still a tiny pup. She does everything she needs outside and always waits for us to take her.

She is very active, just like I wanted. Sometimes too active, to be honest. She’ll run circles around us while we walk, and she is a real tornado in the dog park. She is extremely friendly though and loves everyone she sees, especially little kids. She loves hiking, swimming, playing fetch – anything active, really.

Another thing about cavapoo is that they are very smart. At least our Bonnie certainly is.  She understands a lot of words, including the names of her favorite toys, and her favorite treats. She knows some commands too, been though we haven’t trained her all that much.

In terms of feeding, she eats dog food just ok unless it has chicken in it – she seems to be allergic to chicken. But we also try to give her meat and some vegetables from time to time. And of course, she will steal anything that has fallen off the table.

Grooming is something we do often. We have to brush her at least every other day and also wash her at least once a week.

Bonnie is very loving, she has so much affection towards us her family and other people. She is not aggressive at all and has never even growled at anyone in her life. She gets extremely excited if we have guests and has to meet everyone personally and make friends. The next time they come, she greets them like her best friends and wants to entertain everyone with her antiques. It can get a little embarrassing but I also secretly love this about her. Her soul is just so pure and open. I love that she waits for me to come home from work and then gets so excited she jumps up and down and would lick me to death. When my husband had to leave town for a few weeks for a work trip, I never felt lonely because Bonnie would be always there and I know she is waiting for me after work. It’s a little bit like having a child, she is definitely our family member and is so loved. When we went for a vacation and had to leave her with family, we felt empty, like someone important was missing, and were so happy to reunite with her after.

If you are in doubt whether to adopt a Cavapoo or not, I would definitely recommend doing it, provided you have time to spend with them and to take care of them. They are a real blessing and will complete any family.
